The RAHC trains third and fourth year medical students and guides 13 newly graduated doctors through a three year internal medicine residency program. Also, Harlingen is home to the Valley's largest and busiest airport and is renowned as the logistics and travel hub of the Rio Grande Valley. The city is within proximity to South Padre Island as well as Mexico.
